Warranty
Warranty terms and conditions for Orbital Systems ABAbout
The following terms, which describe the requirements and scope of our warranty commitment, do not limit the statutory rights that end customers of our devices may have in case of defects. End customers can claim these rights at no cost and without affecting our warranty. Additionally, we provide a warranty for our devices to end customers under the following conditions:
1. General Conditions
Subject to the limitations stated in these general conditions, Orbital guarantees that the products delivered by Orbital will be free from defects in design, materials, and workmanship. Orbital undertakes to rectify any such defects. Replacement of consumables is not considered a defect.
2. Warranty Period
Orbital’s warranty covers defects that occur within specified periods from the original delivery date, provided that the customer either pays the full purchase price or adheres to agreed payment plans:
- Orbital Shower: Orbital’s warranty covers defects that occur within a period of up to ten (10) years from the original delivery date.
- Orbital Tap/Tank: Orbital’s warranty covers defects that occur within a period of up to two (2) years from the original delivery date.
3. Warranty Exclusions
Orbital's warranty does not cover defects arising from materials provided by, or a design specified by the customer. It also does not cover defects that occur under non-prescribed conditions, improper use, or if the products remain unused for an unusually long period.
Defects or damages caused by unsuitable operating conditions, contact with unsuitable substances, transportation for which we are not responsible, or defects resulting from incorrect installation are not covered by the warranty. The warranty becomes invalid if installation requirements are not met or if the products are installed in environments outside of a building, such as an airplane, boat, or camper van.
Warranty claims also become invalid if repairs or modifications are carried out by unauthorized persons, or if our devices are equipped with non-original parts. Additionally, defects or damages resulting from neglected maintenance, where the customer fails to follow the recommended care and maintenance, are not covered by the warranty.
4. Warranty Fulfillment
The warranty commitment is fulfilled by, at our discretion, repairing or replacing the components. This may be done either by the customer themselves or by a service technician. If the customer is in a region where Orbital does not have a direct market presence, the customer may be asked to supply a local service partner to facilitate repairs or replacements under the warranty.
Orbital may also choose to refund the price of the defective products or grant a reduction in the purchase price. If the defect is not covered by the warranty, Orbital is entitled to compensation for labor and costs.
5. Reporting Defects
The customer must notify Orbital in writing of any defects without undue delay, and no later than one month after the defect is discovered. To claim the rights under this warranty, the end customer must report defects to our customer service through the following contact options:
- Via the form on the website
- Via email
- Via app
6. Customer Responsibility & Installation Site
The customer must make the component available for repair by either being present at the installation site or ensuring that access is arranged. Additionally, the customer is responsible for providing Orbital with access to the premises, equipment, systems, and any accurate information required to fulfill its warranty commitments.
If Orbital's assistance is needed, the customer must also ensure that the shower is connected to the internet. While a continuous connection is not required, internet access is necessary for Orbital to remotely diagnose and address potential issues before an on-site visit.
The warranty covers only labor and costs directly related to the repair or replacement of the device under normal conditions. If the device has been installed in a manner that prevents repair or replacement from being performed without significant additional work—such as dismantling fixtures, trims, or niche solutions—Orbital reserves the right to charge the customer for any extra labor required.
In cases where the installation site is in a remote location that cannot be reached by standard transportation methods, such as a boat, snowmobile, or helicopter, the customer may be required to arrange and/or cover the costs of alternative transport. Alternatively, the customer may need to transport the device to an agreed service location.
7. Transport and shipping
For spare parts orders in Sweden and Denmark, Orbital will cover the shipping costs.
For spare parts order is in all other regions the following apply:
- Orbital will arrange shipping under Incoterms Delivered At Place (DAP).
- Customers are responsible for customs duties, taxes, and import clearance.
- Orbital will cover shipping costs up to USD 50; any excess will be invoiced to the customer.
8. Consumables
Certain components, referred to as Consumables (filter capsules, UV lamp, quartz glass, mesh filter), must be periodically replaced for the products to function correctly and are not covered by the warranty. Additional consumables can be ordered from Orbital. The use of non-original components may result in defects that are not covered by the warranty.
9. Warranty Limitations
The described warranty is Orbital’s sole warranty, and no other warranties or conditions, express or implied, apply. The end customer is not entitled to any additional claims or claims other than those stated above under this warranty.
