ORBITAL SYSTEMS, which is bringing about a paradigm in daily water usage with the recirculating Shower of the Future™, hires former Tradedoubler and Atosho executive, Simon Goldschmidt as Chief Commercial Officer.

After announcing the recruitment of former Tesla Motors VP of Supply Chain, Peter Carlsson, ORBITAL SYSTEMS is now announcing their next strategic hire. Simon Goldschmidt, previously a celebrated executive with Tradedoubler, Atosho and Wuxus, has joined the company to lead the commercial development.

Since launching limited mass production of ORBITAL’s revolutionary Shower of the Future™, thereby cutting delivery times to just two weeks in Europe, the company’s primary focus has been taking the global sales operations to the next level.

“Simon’s international experience and proven track record of successfully starting and growing disruptive companies, makes him a strategic addition to our highly motivated team”, says Mehrdad Mahdjoubi, founder and CEO of ORBITAL SYSTEMS.

Goldschmidt sees his new endeavor as a natural step following previous repeated startup growth stories.

“The world needs more successful companies that seriously challenge the status quo. ORBITAL is a rare and powerful combination of a higher purpose, a motivated team and stylish, edgy technology. I am incredibly excited to contribute to this journey with my passion for growing businesses”, Goldschmidt says.

ORBITAL SYSTEMS is a pioneer in distributed water recirculation systems that filter mineral and biological impurities out of lightly-used water in showers to dramatically cut energy and water consumption. The company’s Shower of the Future™, saves up to 90% of the water and 80% of the heating energy. Founder and CEO Mehrdad Mahdjoubi developed the technology as part of an academic collaboration between NASA’s Johnson Space Center and Lund University. ORBITAL expects to develop future products based around its technology for baths, sinks and other applications.
